South Ipswich is an area of the larger town of Ipswich in Suffolk, the oldest town in England, dating back to early Anglo-Saxon times. Set on the river Orwell, not far from the East Coast and Felixstowe, if you are renting a car from the local Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch, there is lots to see in the area.
If you are interested in culture, Ipswich has some well-preserved architecture and museums. There are several car parks in the centre of Ipswich as well as a large free car park behind the post office. South Ipswich has plenty of street parking, but around the railway station it may be a little harder to find a space. Getting into and out of South Ipswich is pretty convenient via the A14 which crosses the river and connects with the A12 towards London and the A140 to Norwich.
